Yep -- 3 or 4 runs max on Sunday from what I hear . From what I read on Mt. High's FB feed the last few feet of the road are still not plowed. Again........water water everywhere and not a drop to drink! I remember when "Snowpocalypse 2019" happened in Arrowhead and they didn't plow the...

thanks for the TR! sounds about right..........amazing lines wow. freeze thaw has set up at all the resorts w/ temps in the 40's during the day and 25 at night...standard SoCal weather. a few locals at BBMR/SS had some fun days but for the most part the powder days were elusive from arguably...

Everyone wants to ski /board these days. Demand has gone way way up and supply has not. Baldy hasn't expanded any lift capacity or skiable acreage in what.....50 years? Social media , less people working in general, more flextime, large urban market, really piss-poor snow years down here...

    Historic Mt. Baldy Snow Forecast

yep all the south facing areas will degrade. tis a shame. once the weekend comes the masses will arrive from this metropolis -- and you'll be lucky to get 5k vertical in on a single day w/ the lift lines............ once the roads eventually open it will be a complete and total...

Mt. Baldy, CA, Feb. 27, 2023

welp, NO skiing today w/ the avalanche at Baldy! with a few days of freeze thaw cycle that will occur in SoCal, you can expect that snow to start to settle and become a nice base :) nobody is open. water water everywhere and not a drop to drink!!!!

Is "south bowl 2" indicated here by my red line ? I indicate south bowl 1 with a blue line. The time I access the area in red line I traverse along the ridge indicated in green.

Mt. Baldy, CA, Feb. 27, 2023

Some of the best skiing I've done there is going back past South Bowl along the next ridge. Yes, the hike back sucks to the parking lot but it's pure untracked fun past that point.

Tony I'd like to know if you know anything about the actual financials of Baldy. two families run the place? they've done improvements on the Notch but zero investment in the chairlifts. they have tried to increase revenue during summer months as well. the reliability of the chairlifts...

Fly to TIJ to Cancun. Take a RT flight to Havana from Cancun. Stayed with a super nice family for $14 a night. Splurged on an apartment with an amazing city view for about $30 a night. Live music every night of the week - my favorite part of the country. Paladars too expensive.....I...
