Nice report, though I find these pretty painful...make me wish that I had gone for a stowe pass this year instead of MRG. $74/day is just so ridiculously steep though especially when I can go to jay for $35 with a pass from mrg.

Wish there was something useful to give up about the $25 lift tickets...unfortunately though it was a 1-day only thing. For groundhog day they just reduced their prices to $25 for everyone. They also gave out free stowe cards to the first 500 people to show up, which lowers the day ticket...

Thanks for the report, Mark. Was it just icy and hairy, or are there still lots of rocks/brush/etc poking up out of the snow? In other words, how was the cover -- if they get enough snow to cover the ice, will the skiing be good or is it still pretty thin?

I have to agree with all the folks who are saying "air." Last season I started trying to take short little 5-10 foot drops where I could in the trees. Makes for some much more interesting lines when you're comfortable in the air. It's hard to learn though at a place where you have to stick...

I ducked a rope to ski hairball on Saturday. Was not a good idea. There wasn't enough snow to cover a large rockfall in the middle.
