Welcome to first tracks online! My 2cents, it's spring time, you could get a snow storms, and cold, or dry and mild, and or anything in between. If you wait and watch the weather out there, look for trip reports on here, it might give you a better idea of what conditions will be like. For me...

    Colorado, better late then never

Thanks EMSC. Its totally a 'play by ear trip' I wont even book a flight till April 1st. I have never skied Loveland, how do they favor late in the year? As for the MTB part, I am open to drive where ever. I guess the best way to make it work would be a place to rent a bike fairly close to a...

    Timber Ridge 3.5.10

Yes they are very popular around michigan. I think if it was not for snowboarding and parks michigan wouls have lost a few "ski" areas by now. There are days I see more snowboards than skis on the hill. Parks have taken over top to bottom parts of the hills. It does help to challange your self...

    Mt Brighton 2.22.10

8” of new wet snow. Arrived at opening 10am, with only 12 cars in the parking lot! Tracked out the front side green chairs for the first hour. Yellow and Silver chairs never opened and had lots of good snow on them, so I decided to ride down and hike the yellow chair. Not bad for a 300foot bump

    MT Brighton 2.14.2010

Must have been olympic fever day, it was busy!! For the first time in 3 years the silver chair was open, and the challage, and the challage rope tow (but that stopped as soon as smoke started pouring out of the engine house) 33* and light winds, made for some good soft snow.
