    Park City Powder Cats

Cat skiing at Steamboat is a waste. Flat and lots of snowmobilers going after the same goods. Was on a South America trip with Devo in 2003. Guess I know why we no longer see him at the Bird.

There. Now it reads like I went to kollij. Today rocked. Got a clean line down Spanky's in bottomless powder. Does not get better than that. Hoping for the goods on Thursday at Alta. Will be good to be home. Oh wait, this is home.

Had enough Utah sunshine for a while. Took the last Southwest flight out of Salt Lake City on Friday (but not before getting a Comma Chute in/ very cool) to Seattle. Traded my sports car for an ex-girlfriends Subaru and loaded up for the Cascades. Keep a pile of old Gore Tex grubs around my...

Was shooting for 10000 but fell short. Next time may need a helicopter.

Got the Castle rope drop Wednesday. Was about number twenty and dove right in after rounding the corner. Nice powder without wind affect. Second lap was out to the wall. Nice powder as well but the usual slow combs line. Third lap was an apron. Excellent/ probably should have been a secon...

    Alta 1/31

Felt the bottom on every turn on anything steeper than 20 degrees. And the bottom was scratchy. Sorry to throw 9" of fresh on your TR but I think our working friends should not be tearing themselves up about missing this one.

I just hire an attractive female ski instructor on the powder days. I can cut lines for less than the price of a black pass. And she can't take off on me even if my jokes fall flat.

Cheap when you consider all the chicks that will suddenly want to ski with you. Or at least ride the lifts with you. $17,000 last I heard.

If only our Snowbird passes had that.

    Sometimes It's Too Much

Canyon opened at 1:00. It was light and deep. Yesterday (Sunday) great turns in the afternoon on a dense but wind buffed West Rustler. No such thing as too much!

Hi, Stuck around until 2:45. Would have stayed longer as Ballroom/Baldy Shoulder was about to open but had a plane to catch. The skiing was sort of northwest-like/ I saw roller balls and chunks in places. Of course, now that I am back in the northwest I am hearing how hard it rained here...

Thanks for the shout out. After we saw you went out to the Castle wall/ very nice boot bottom untacked snow and nobody else getting after it (everyone was headed up to the Main Chute I guess). Did three laps and then headed up to Main Chute. It is a much tougher slog up the Rotors than the...
