    Project 101: USA Road Trip

Very strange indeed in my opinion. I must admit though that I once did half a day at Alpine Meadows and half a day at Squaw because we were limited for days in the area and I really wanted to see both. It was before they were connected obviously. I guess that fellow's goal is to check off areas...

    Project 101: USA Road Trip

The last time I stayed in Big Sky and Colorado (Aspen) was late February 2020. Things have obviously changed. At those prices I won't ski either place again unless I'm passing through and stay in Bozeman/Glenwood Springs. I'll be disappointed if I pay more than $100usd per night for...

    Western North America Conditions 2025/26

So the top picture is Kachina from a distance. I can't see the lift towers at all? The second and third pics are the other runs you referred to? The cover in the third pic looks to be great.

    Kicking Horse, B.C., Feb. 17, 2026

We probably wouldn’t go to Whistler. It wouldn’t be a really lengthy trip as we will go to Japan in the January too. There’s only so much leave time my wife can get.

    Kicking Horse, B.C., Feb. 17, 2026

Kicking Horse is a place I've not been. I've always been interested to ski it and Panorama down the road. I'm casting my mind forward to mid March next year. I expect we would fly into Banff and relive some decent memories at Sunshine and Lake Louise. The later two and Panorama are Ikon/Mountain...

    Whitewater, BC February 18, 2026

Looks like a fun day. @tseeb you've skied at Whitewater before now I assume? How many days have you had there?

Mt Bachelor, OR February 16-17, 2026

I’m impressed. I had myself pegged as a road warrior but to Tseeb I’m a mere amateur.

    Liz and Margaret on Kilimanjaro

Your recent news that Liz was heading to do this caused me to do some looking at the mountain and climb which I had never done before. It's a beautiful looking beast isn't it? Another thing for the 'to do' list. Thanks for the update. I'll be keen to see pics.

    Serre Chevalier+Montgenevre 2/2/26-2/7/26

It's a pity it's out of reach financially for a lot of people. Particular if you're solo or a couple.

    Europe 2025/26

https://wepowder.com/en France looking pretty tasty over the coming week. Oh to be there........ I'm very keen to read @skiandgolfnut 's report from Serre Chevalier.

Same here but due to no professional instruction my skiing is far from stylish.

    Europe 2025/26

The reports don't show pictures of my frequent linked recoveries. :) But yeah. We've probably progressed past the intermediate phase. I might be an 'enthusiastic but sometimes flawed advanced skier'. Kylie might be an 'overly cautious advanced skier that doesn't give her ability enough credit'.

    Europe 2025/26

I was there about the third week of January last time. In hindsight I suppose it had probably been just opened. That may have had something to do with it. Early April should be better timing.

Nice report and pics. That version doesn’t seem too difficult.

    Europe 2025/26

The best way for me to coax Kylie into doing it is on the morning of doing it. If I try to talk her into it now she’ll find some negative report and talk herself out of it. She would be aghast at 3 feet steps on ice wearing crampons. When I went to Cham last time and tried to do it I described...

Midnight Oil and Other Oz Music

To be honest part of the reason for not watching TV is the lack of quality content on free to air. And I don't have enough time to justify subscription TV so it's easier for me to spend time watching the first 15 minutes of news on our national broadcaster channel (ABC) and on two internet...

Midnight Oil and Other Oz Music

I’ve never heard of it sorry. We don’t have any subscription tellie. In fact aside from the odd bit of free to air sport we watch no TV at all. It’s a lack of time thing.
