    I second that.

    Interesting piece on Lintzen/climate change

It's silly to use a graph showing US winter temperatures to refute "global" climate change. Not merely does that graph not show global temperatures, it only shows 1/4 of the year on less than 10% of the global surface. I think it's reasonable to suspect that 7 billion humans can collectively...

What time does the sun rise in the alps at this time of year? I would imagine that even on the most brilliant of sunny days the sun is never too high in the sky at that northerly latitude.

    Pot vs. Utah

I've noticed recently in NYC that there have been a bunch of Utah ski tourism commercials. I know it's a bit early yet, but I wonder what type of effect Colorado's Marijuana laws will have on Utah's ski tourism. As a person who prefers Utah as a ski destination it doesn't bother me much either...

    Utah 2014

I know I haven't been much of a participant on the forum recently. Between work and work, it's hard to find time right now. Furthermore, the path that I have followed the past few years really hasn't allowed me to ski. I'm going skiing this year. If but a few days... and if I'm only going to...

Where to go in Colorado ?? :)

1st week of December is not the time to visit Colorado. You'll have as likely a chance to ski as well at Hunter in NY at that time. During the first week of December I would put my money on Whistler. If not there then places that are reliant on snowmaking like Sun Valley as are as good as any.

    Sun Valley, ID 2/16/2013

I've been to Sun Valley twice, both times around xmas. Once it was almost entirely man made snow, and the other the whole mountain was open. I wonder, wouldn't Sun Valley be better to visit in March when it starts to warm up? I mean, you're not likely to get powder there...

Report from Steamboat - Early February 2013

To me, steamboat is the most like an east coast mountain of all the mountains i've skied in the rockies. I've been on the record here saying that before. IMHO it's flat and doesn't have a ton of continuous vert. It gets snow, but I really do believe its trees are over-rated. IMO it's reputation...

Round 1 to Joe Bastardi & Company

I'm done debating this point with you, as clearly you want to ignore what I say, and or not take it on directly. So let me clarify what I've said: 1. Humans have an impact on the climate and environment, CO2 and other human related gases (methane among others) are somewhat responsible for the...

Round 1 to Joe Bastardi & Company

 No, it doesn't make them right, but it means a given study or experiment have been read thought about and reviewed by peers(i.e. scientists). It adds substantial weight to a study. When peer reviewed studies disprove another study, it lends weight to the argument. Secondly, peer review...
