Make sure your edges are sharp! It's a fun big mountain, but conditions can sometimes be challenging on account of its exposure. Being a holiday weekend, expect big lines for the gondi. Best to not come down after your first ride up and then use the Summit quad or the Lifts from the mid-station...

One cannot tell a person's real vibe, stature and ski style from posts in a forum. A person must be met in person for this. Maybe in the forums, we seem similar, but actually are polar opposites.

The snow we have has been falling very dry a few inches at a time. In the steepest glades, it gets skied right down to the forest floor. No solid base, so Olymp woods and east side ridge would not yet be good choices. Low angle is where it's deep, fluffy and skis like a dream.

Marc_C you are wrong. I believe Powderqueen suits me quite well. When it is a powder day, I put my crown on and go skiing. I go to Utah in pursuit of royally deep powder. I am the only woman I know here in NY that owns skis that are wider than 90mm under foot. I have not ever seen another...
