i was 24 to 48 hrs to late.. im told it was nice corn on tues and wed... i figured id try to catch some it... it's a total disaster area....it got cold last night and windy... the worst surface i can remember skiing on in over 2 years at least....loon must have either not made any snow and tried...

and yes i agree with you on that for sure... we debated that issue here a while back , but you have it in the right order...if you can ski moguls well, you can ski trees with relative ease...not necessarily true the other way around... what i don't agree with you on is the statement that early...

sharon i know what you are saying but we actually were at mrg on the day before...it was good... just not as good as advertised...the lines that WE have interest in skiing were a lot different, in a bad way, than they were when we were there on dec 17th...holiday crowds i suspect contibuted to...

scott, the crew and i had a feeling u were at one point a`mogul skier... it's weird but u can just kind of tell after a while who gets it and who doesn't ... we have no problem with selective strategic grooming and taking things down as long as it is for a good reason, which i have very little...

i can provide more of an on piste report to the powder freaks friday report as our crew was there as well....we don't ski the place enough and don't have enough knowledge to hit those chin clip glades yet ..my sense is if you make a mistake, you are on rt 108 ...a one day trip cannot take that...

good but not as great as the web site would have you believe....it averaged minus 4 or so throughout the day... the single started late and was stalled a few times... not a big deal as it was warmer off the double anyway... the dryness of the snow is what made it not as good as our last on dec...

scott , we skied mrg today but we are in stowe right now.. we'll be out tomorrow ( friday ) bumpin it up probably mostly on chin clip....if you see us, grab me and maybe we can hook up ....

actually when we were there just before the holiday period madness , i think we skied liftline and chute once each....not even close to the best lines on the hill imo....i'm not into keeping an exact count of runs i ski in a day, but thinking about it, based on what was probably about 20 to 25...

tony u r absolutely right.. however, there was a reason for us why it played out like it did...everyone has their own reasons ... i have property at loon...there is a reason why i have it there that is kind of not relevant to the discussion... for this trip, we drove up to lincoln in a raging...
