    Stratton May 28 (Pics working)

Unfortunately, it looks like it doesn't work :( you can upload your pics directly on these bulletin boards, by resizing them under 60ko and 480/480 maximal width/height. After that, look just under where you type a post, there is a "browse" button. Just click on it and select the pic you want...

    La Réserve - QC - May 27

In fact, the trip was also to see what was left at Tremblant, because the best way to see Tremblant North is to pass with the new scenic road between St-Donat and Tremblant, where from 2000' of elevation, we can see the whole North Side of Tremblant, which is really wonderful ! There is enough...

    La Réserve - QC - May 27

Ok, I admit since we don't have the canyon anymore, the quality dropped for laaaaate turns into spring at La Réserve, but the Croque-Mitaine (beginner trail) still had a 400' long snowpatch today, so I enjoyed a few nice turns (Ok I admit I hiked it 10 times ! lol) I also tried to ski the Chute...

    Grass-skiing in the east

LOL effectively... just like us when we managed to pass in the woods with an old buick century to avoid the gate at Mt Tremblant north and we hiked the mountain with the car until the snow was beginning. I broke the car, but at least we got some decent turns easily on may 22th LOL. (what a...

    Jay Peak, VT: 05/19/05

Nice report, thanks ! It's always very kewl to ski after Killington's season end. It's impressive to see that much snow left, especially as the ski area is closed for more than 1 month now ;) I didn't do it yet this year, but I'm going to do it for sure in the coming weeks, as I don't care to...

    Grass-skiing in the east

Hey, nice pic Djangoski ! I never tried to ski on sand... but I find really sad to know that there is a great place to do it in Tadoussac (QC), but it's completely illegal to make some turns there... while it was an "official place" in the 70s and 80s (or so) For leaf skiing, it's interesting...

    Grass-skiing in the east

There is a few places where the grass is cut several times in the year. No need to be perfect... although it's sure that golf grass would be nice... but we would be welcomed with gun shots ! lol For your mother, yeah, we're near Blvd Rosemont and Lacordaire, so probably not really far from your...

    Grass-skiing in the east

Patrick, did you know that the Parc Santa Cabrini is on my ... street :D The worst thing is that I didn't know there was a t-bar on my street, when we bought the condo ! It's about 3 minutes of car from here and it's sure it's going to be one place I will go a few times this summer...

    Grass-skiing in the east

Now that the lifted season is ending a little bit faster than earlier (I won't enter further in the debate), and that hike-skiing is not always possible a long time after the mountains close, grass-skiing can be a great way to get some turns into the summer, for the real crazy-sick-maniac...

killington open/close rumour for next year ...

Why don't you wish more ASC to be part of http://www.abiworld.org/ ? At jan 25, 2005, they were over $600,000,000 of accumulated deficit... but I notice an excellent only $28,000,000 of loss for fiscal 2004, compared to $206,000,000 in 2002 and $82,000,000 in 2003 ! May be the hell will stop...

    Tree Skiing in Mid-May : Valinouët - may 14, 2005

We are crazy ! Yes, for the 3rd time within one month, we headed to the Valinouët ski area, 300+ miles north of Montreal. It was tough to know exactly what we would have for conditions. For the global view of the mountain, I would say that it was looking a little bit like Sugarloaf (see other...

    Killington 5.10.05

wow, thanks for the photos ! really nice ! Looks like some walking will be required this weekend on top of the Headwall !? Anyway, it's tough to believe that they will close with that much snow... it's not looking at all like the closing day of last year, while there was almost no snow left in...

    Tremblant , Quebec ( May 6 )

Yeah, sure ! Here is a pic from last may 22, on the upper north side. (3 days before, we were shocked by a pic of Superstar with about 0 snow left even on the lower pitch !) An advice : avoid to climb the lower part of the north side (via the beginner trail), with an old Buick Century...
