Sorry, most of the more mainstream craft beer six-packs were $10.99 and some were a little more. And on less the expensive beers I always look for the ‘canned on’ or other date as I don’t want to buy too old beer. This Porter was 5 months old. Some of their IPAs were 9 or more. My wife is in El...

I calculated how many 4% Coors Light (my son's usual) it would have taken to match the alcohol in our 5 beers assuming 12 oz. pours = 11 Since I'm heading to "cooler climes" in ~32 hours and only had some Stellas, I picked up 6-pack of Alesmith Porter at Grocery Outlet today. $6.99 + tax and...

Friend had an extra ticket for Carvin Jones, the Blues King of Strings, at a New Orleans-themed restaurant between downtown and where the Sharks play. Great show, probably less than 80 people in attendance. Carvin Jones shook our hands on his way in and sat down with us to eat his meal during...

Yes, I skied Tahoe on Sunday of President’s Day after attending a memorial event for my sister’s best friend in Sacramento on Saturday. I left event a little before 4 PM and had to call ski shop tuning my skis to make sure someone would be there a few minutes after 6 PM close. At 5 pm CHP was...

My son first skied when he was 3 and is now 33. He may have only gotten one day last year as girlfriend at the time did not ski. He is planning on going this year, maybe to Sugar Bowl, as part of bachelor party for college roommate where he is going to be the best man. He is stuck mostly being a...

My weather station had coldest temp in years on Mon 2/10 at 28F. In PM it warmed up to 66. When I did a big uphill on my 7th mountain bike ride in the last couple of weeks, I had to take off long sleeve T-shirt and just wear thin short sleeve. This week's storm delivered better than last week's...

Our son took us to dinner at Jtown Pizza, one of the businesses in San Jose's Japantown owned by same people as leading Karaoke bar nearby where he works. He gets a good discount on food, especially when before or after working, and beverages. He worked 945-145 last night and also usually works...

And you and who else voted for him? How many other things has Trump tried to do (or has done) that are f---ing nuts or illegal? When he took office 8 years ago, those that didn't support him hoped that he would grow into the most important job in our world, but it did not go that way. And now it...

I've never seen this one before. $10.99/6 at Grocery Outlet. "East Coast Haze Meets West Cost Flavor. Radical" "Limited Hazy Series" 7% and very nice. I like Sierra Nevada's (California’s largest craft brewer) Hazy Little Thing more than their flagship Pale Ale, a little more bitter than I prefer.

Sign entering Kaiser building for eye exam yesterday. I don't have a problem with mask requirement in place where there might be a lot of sick people or you are in close contact with others in a confined space, but it does tend to fog up glasses that are worn during part of eye exam. At least...
