Instead of visiting my friend in Colorado in March I may either go to Taos with him or to Bozeman.

I'm going to whistler for xmas week (only trip for sure), then most likely a jan trip to utah with my father and a march weekend in colorado visiting my friend. Otherwise, I should be skiing way less this year as work has picked up to an insane level, i.e. 100+ hour weeks...

Vancouver is not an 8 hour direct flight, but Patrick hit it on the head that jet lag is the big determining factor. I would agree however that the Alberg's overall experience will be superior to that of Whistler, but I like Europe, some people wouldn't, and if I were traveling with a family...

THe hard part about a place like the alberg is the long flight followed by the long bus/car ride. Again, the euro is pretty brutal, but at least austria is cheaper than switzerland.

I agree with that even though I haven't followed that advice as of yet, mainly because the price of europe is the major deterrent.

What about flying to Seattle and driving from there? I've done that before and although it's a 4 hour drive from Seattle it's well worth the cost difference, especially given that Whistler is an hour and forty-five minutes from Vancouver anyhow...

What about Whistler? It's pretty reliable at that time.

Those predictions are educated guesses at best. Bastardi is pushing hard for a strong Nina and a colder than average winter around the country.

You said it better than I. AA is going to have a hard time not losing money even after they replace all their aging md95s and 757s, their union is one of the strongest in the industry, and they are getting crushed by them. Furthermore, Carbon Credits are a complete joke, as they do nothing...

Yeah um... AA did that because they are being killed by their aging fleet which is one of the most inefficient in the world. Btw the 320 neo which is the brunt of the order use 10% less fuel than md95s which are the oldest in their fleet. So yeah don't get your hopes up, flying is still and will...

You should also charge more for lift tickets to cover carbon credits for the tons of airplane fuel required for the flight to anchorage. :stir:
