Interesting talk about altitude sickness. I’ve only stayed as high as Snowmass but have been there a few times. I’ve never had one hint of it. Nor has any of my family. And we live at sea level. We’ve always had time in SLC prior though.

I’ll have a car and will ski at Shiga Kogen and Myoko/Madarao areas.

They look interesting but are generally low elevation. No issue in a ‘normal winter’ but not ideal in a warm winter.

I’ve seen the videos too but generally they are not at all aggressive. I’ve certainly never experienced any issues with them.

I’m pretty sure it’s a carpet python. Non aggressive and not venomous to my knowledge. As Tony says we have very deadly blacks, browns and tiger snakes in our locality.

Yeah. This is a priority to me. I can’t go this October though. Hopefully next year.
