    Eldora 2/22

Yes. They had some problems a few years ago as I recall. I think their lodge burned down, but they eventually built a new one. I think I heard current owners were looking to sell though, so may not be open for too many more years.

    Eldora 2/22

EMSC I would agree with you, living in Fort Collins for 10years I had more good days then not so good days at Eldora. Definietly better then 95% of the east skiing (have skiied 25 resorts east coast). I forgot about Loveland that place is great on non windy days, great snow from the last 3 days...

question for anyone in mad river glen management

Ah I miss skiing bumps, still do on the board, kinda like riding a bull, tough when you fall, but beating a skier down a bump run makes me really happy. By far most demanding athlically on lift served areas. Who has the best bumps on the east these days. Stowe ,k illington, MRG, maybe north...

    Eldora 2/22

Eldora is a cool resort.TO bad you have to drive through Bowlda to get there. I skied there back when they first opened indian peaks (maybe 98') Towards the end of the day in early season, we would always poach lines and ride unopened trails. One time we came up on 2 patrolers at the bottom of a...

are you guys really having a discussion about east vs west powder skiing? BTW Okemo today is reporting 20 inchs and Variable conditions! maybe the Weather Channel will do a Epic Conditions segment and you will never loose sight of a ski ala killington. Anyway, I rode Brigton in Jan on a windy...

    Keystone, CO Feb 7-8

Why would they not offer the santiago and outback/north peak areas of the mountain. Maybe they where not open hence the wind. Those areas would be fine for such an event IMHO. I actualy like keystone back terrian and also there village is nice. Need snow there, never understood which storms...

    Snow King, WY: 01/26/08

3-6 for the next 3 days should make for very nice conditions. If you manage to make it to the Mangy Moose for apres ski, ask for the bartender Christy, tell her to make you a "dirty girl scout". Tell her Todd sent you, she is a old friend of mine that I don't get to see enough. She used to live...

    Warren Miller "Deep an Light"?

Why do I remember in the early 90's seeing endless Warren Miller films on local NY tri state TV. Maybe it was the same ones over and over but I loved them. I see some recent movies on some HBO kids time slots but nothing pre 2000.

The Canyons, UT 1/9/08 with helmet cam video

Nice stuff! I was there on monday. Pretty nice mountain. I remember seeing that area and wanting to see it. The problem with the caynons is that it so spread out, that once you leave an area it is tough to get back. Plus it was the one day I did not bring lunch and had to stop. I found there...

    Jackson Hole, WY 1/5/08

How much fresh snow was up there? I love the scenery and the town vibe. A bit let down by the terrian. The mountain is tall, but I was led to belive that it was so much steeper then everything else. I rode 2 days there with some locals (freinds of TGR blady blah like everyone there) we hit the...

Nice stuff. My folks (live in Holliday) went to snowbird yesterday. Made it in right before closure. My dad said it was pure whiteout. They are having a real hard time being they where hotshot skiers from vermont in the late 60's early70's. THis powder thing is tough on there 55 year old bones...

    Bridger Bowl 12-27-07

Great stuff! Was this lift acess stuff or hike? When I was at school at CSU, whenever I went to ski video shows and Bridger came on (WM, TGR matchstick etc.) the place would go nuts. THere where quite a few Montana kids there as well as CO Bridger lovers I assume. I will get there sometime,been...

    36 Hours of Keystone 11/30-12/1/07

Keystone has some good terrian in the outback and and some of the cat serviced stuff is pretty fun. I think the snow preservation is very good there as well. PLenty of good snow there when 100% open. T PS for bargins stick to aussie and So African Wines ;)
