For 52 dollars or whatever it costs to ski Solitude/Snowbasin I see no reason not to with comparable snowfall on busy days if someone can afford to pay for the day ticket. I'm with Tony here, but I'm used to not competing for snow in VT so I'm a bit biased I guess.

Stowe still has 0 to no bare patches on all the trails I skied yesterday, and reporting 79 inches at the stake. If we get a storm we'll be in good shape.

Stowe reopened most terrain today after the warm temps last night. I think they're fast to close these trails recently because they haven't been getting sufficiently soft to be "safe". To those saying that this season has been average or below, you just weren't skiing in the right places...

I think you missed out on an even bigger group at Alta Sunday. We were about 15 or so for the first couple runs in the morning.

Nothing averages a lot, but that's because of the high variability. Last winter was excellent, snowed consistently every other day for a month straight. Some winters it just doesn't snow. I have no clue, but I'd say we got at least 300 inches this past winter. Treble Cone was a fun area, but...
