    Jay Peak :: 4-26-2008 --- Party up!

    Well, the folks at Jay really put on a nice show for this weekend. First off, tickets were 25$ for both days... Hmmm. So i brought 4 friends along for a day of corn in the sun. Then, there was still plenty of snow to kick around in some glades like Hell's Wood, Kitz' wood and a very slim...

    Jay 02/10/08

    I was out in the area today... and really, it dumped pretty hard... I wouldn't be surprise if 4-5in fell during the day... We had trouble finding our own skin tracks on every lap... Pretty solid day far from the resort!

    The Dip @ JAy

    I really don't mind publicizing places so obvious like the dip... In fact, just like Beaver Pond and Andre's Paradise, these places are the places where you'll almost never see me go to! Overtracked, overrated and full of tourists... I was in the area today and couldn't believe how many people...

    Jay Peak - Feb 2nd :: Very good!

    After a little solo trip in the backcountry looking for new lines, i got to the mountain at about noon. I was in no rush to get to the slopes... I wasn't expecting much... First run down the can-am seemed like a mistake for the first few slides on pure ice... but then i got under the chair and...

    TR - Big Jay, VT 1/20/08

    There has been a GMC representative garding the ridge a few gates in. If caught, you're looking at a fine for trespassing or something like that, i don't remember what it was exactly... We were surprise that there was no one last weekend after the dump... I'm assuming no one's garding the ridge...

    TR - Big Jay, VT 1/20/08

    Actually, it wasn't that hard when i was out front opening up a new track... but we came to a dead end... I would have gone for more on the east ridge... but my friends were getting tired... and it was 3:30 when we came out of the woods! I saw a guy in there with 150mm SHOVELS-type skis...

    TR - Big Jay, VT 1/20/08

    Northern Vermont has received more then 30in of snow in the last week... 6-10in at a time, things pilled up in the backcountry. Since it was the first "good" weekend after the major thaw that has spread over the East Coast in early-mid January, we figured we'd beat the crowd on the mountain and...

    Bonnie and Jet is really all you need! Freezer (Flyer) can be pretty cold... Bonnie is more protected and offer pretty much the same trail access... But i guess you'll find out on your own! Again, have fun out there!

    First trip to Jay Peak

    What's annoying about border crossing is that even though your plate is registered to have cross at that same exact border every freakin' weekend, they still have to ask all the same questions... Even the custom agents you've known for years have to ask all the questions... Some however still...

    First trip to Jay Peak

    Hope you'll have fun at Jay this weekend... There should be plenty of snow in the woods... Groomers should be good also... but i wouldn't rely just on groomers to enjoy the mountain! Be sure to check out Expo glade... It's always full of snow even tough it's right next to the freezer... Pretty...
