Today we finally got a pretty decent powder day. Alta reported 4 inches (last I checked), but it was easily more like 8-10 with windloaded areas that were thigh deep. It's still snowing lightly up here, and it is forecast to continue on and off through the week. The light was pretty flat but...

Opening day pow days are quite nice. Shoulder, Ballroom, Freds all held great snow.

It's snowing up here now but it's supposed to get warm again Tuesdayish. I'd go to Moab.

I'll be up every afternoon until Alta opens, if anyone will be up there this week let me know. If this snow comes through thinking about skiing Collins tomorrow AM.

It looks like I'm not missing too much hanging out in Arizona in 85 degrees. But still, snow would be nice (so I can become employed!).

Good to see you got day 1 in. I should be arriving in SLC right around the 16th. I'll let you know as the day approaches so I can come steal my new skis from you before it snows too much.

1. You missed out. All you needed to do is ask, and they'll let you use the tub for 10 NZD. Highest spa in NZ. 2. Olympus is great. 3. Access road is really scary, especially when the snow line is really low. 4. Those chairs in the lodge in your picture were so comfortable.
