Tony et al - thinking of a trip out for Memorial Day weekend, probably skiing a day (or 2 if it's good), and doing hot springs and other stuff the rest of the time. With coverage as is is it worth the trip for a last ski day this year?

Tony I saw the MVP passes went on sale to returning members, with no passholders able to purchase in April. If we're thinking about doing 10ish days there this coming season (and maybe 2 this spring if the snow holds up/snows again), will we find a better day ticket deal?

Any of you locals know of any better deals currently than what can be had at Canyon Sports for the usual areas? If you haven't heard, parents and I will be out from March 3-11.

Agreed with admin and socal. Targhee without fresh snow wouldn't be worth a 5 hour drive, unless Alta was bare.

My ski trip to Mammoth first weekend in February looks less and less exciting by the day ;) (don't worry, I'm in CA for work and it's free)

Sugarbush also got some of these new guns this past summer, though not enough to use for all their snowmaking. The difference in snow quality was immediately noticeable my first day this season. The snow feels and skis a lot more natural, and can actually be "soft". I was impressed.

Losing me may be the incorrect term. I decided I wanted to ski Catherine's a few times before heading to the Bird, so I stayed at Supreme and met up with Perry. Then at the Bird I went all the way out to the north facing part (Powder Paradise) which was good, but not quite like the hero snow...
