DAY...80... after four days in a row of poWWWWDDDDDDEEEEERRRR and snowbird with no lifts spinning on monday morning ,i'm still gonna ski the snows not gone yet by any means. and a long long way from being gone at the basin. i kick myself for not doing this activity more often , the place has better conditions now then when they were open in the regular season .
the ascent route was up across the womens downhill across the mens middle downhill to the ridge on the north side .
ascending up to middle mens downhill the clouds broke slightly for a moment giving a bit of light to the hill . HOLY---- !!
this came into view through the trees as i crested the ridge .
passed this tid bit of info on the way up .
stuck around up there for an hour and a half before departing.
departing the summit knowing this was going to be special and within one hundred feet finding out , this is the stuff books were written about...
the stuff of legend ..
lots more pics but they have alot of flat light issues . wish i had a friggin snowmobile .
