Spoke with Bobby D in the AM and mentioned I might head up in the afternoon, we set a tentative 12:30 collins meet. I was there round 12:15 and waited until 12:45, no Bobby. It was time to ski.

Headed over to freds trees for a warmup, still nice and chalky like it was the previous day. Headed back up again for a run into Eagles nest. Once again it delivered and who do I ski up to but Marc_C, Pat and Dale...woo hoo. Leat I won't be skiing alone all afternoon. We made a run into ballroom, and I went out the shoulder a little and took the shot just before tombstone down..nice "soft" set up snow that gets zero sun..then it was time for a run down thirds. Boy...that one sure does keep delivering. Pat and Dale decided it was time to go as Dale is still recovering from a multi week "cold/flu". Marc_C and I hit another run down freds trees and out the Saddle traverse down lower jitterbug. Then i was alone yet again.

Took one more through Eagles nest, then one more down Fred's tress (yeah I love this line), and called it a day.

Day 32 in the books. 13500 vertical 7 runs. For reference with the HUGE group on Saturday I was only able to manage about 2K feet vertical more and 3 runs. I can travel alone much faster I guess.

I discovered something else yesterday: when you're in your mid-50's, what's one of the worst things that can happen on a ski day?

Start skiing at 9:30, have a full morning, then run into a fresh skidog (who's about 15 years younger) after lunch in one of the more demanding areas of Alta!

Hey...im ALWAYS willing to wait....you know that...

Was a good time. Its much more fun to share the experience with others than to go it alone. though there is some merit to alone occassionally.
