Alta, Quebec
After 6 days of sun and warm temperatures and torrential rains yesterday we headed out to Alta this morning to see what was left of the natural snow trails. Well the snow held up well as temperatures dropped below freezing overnight for the first time in days so this morning the trails were icy and rain marked. However under clear conditions the sun did its work creating soft corn snow on a still relatively deep base considering there is no artificial snow to speak of. The day was a classic spring day with great snow BBQ for lunch and more skiing afterwords. Not sure how many weeks are left but today was definitely a good one.
