Aspen Mt., 3/22

The 60 degree T-shirt weather continued today at Aspen. The snow softened a bit sooner, and the long top-to-bottom cruise via Copper Bowl was perfect by 10AM. The shorter cruisers off Ajax Express and Ruthie's were best about an hour later.

After lunch we skied with some other Aspen tourists. One of them owned a house in town, so we followed her down Back of Bell and Northstar/Gent's Ridge for some well timed spring mogul skiing. Then Garry and I took a last run down the deep bumps of Ridge of Bell. Adam reported better bump spacing on the Face and Shoulder of Bell.

We generally prefer our expert skiing in the form of steep alpine terrain, but if you're looking for a mogul fix, Aspen Mt. is one of the best.

Larry is dressed appropriately for a spring lunch on Bonnie's sundeck. Aspen's dining reputation extends to the mountain, and while Bonnie's is casual, food is excellent and don't miss the famous apple strudel.

Irene in the green helmet was the lady with the vacation home in Aspen. Here she leads Garry down a bump run near Gentleman's Ridge.
