Interesting to hear about all of the snow in northern VT. Northern NH has very little, if any!

Skied Attitash on Monday. Very fast, quite firm. It seems they received rain from mid-mt. to the base on Sun. Groomed the best they could. Ungroomed was unbearable. There is virtually no snow in the woods and under lifts. It looks like April! Snowmaking trails have pretty good coverage. If you're heading to the valley and the weather is decent, hit Wildcat. There is really no reason to ski Attitash this time of year (i'm not a big fan even during mid-winter, but I had a free ticket). Not enough elevation to hold the snow.

Skied the cat today (Tues.). It had been blowing hard for two days. Not bad today. Some sun peaking through clouds. More snow than Attitash (about 6-8 inches in the woods, though barely skiable). Good coverage on snowmaking trails. The groomers did a pretty good job. Very fast, firm, but edgable. It felt more like Jan. a few days after a rain than late March. If it had been 35 degrees and sunny (to soften up just a tad), it would have been exceptional. Very enjoyable day, less than 150 people on the hill, and gotta love the high speed quad to the summit in less than 7 minutes. It was the only lift I rode all day (at least 15-20 top to bottom runs - 10am-2pm).

Ski it fast! It's going to go quick! Drove by Cranmore on the way home. It looked rough! They will be lucky to make it through the weekend. It sounds like I should make one last trip to VT!
