looks like it'll only be one run (Mr. K), which is a long greeen roller. only for the day too. i don't think they plan to stay open. they'll close and reopen once we get more snow, or Thanksgiving day, whichever comes first i would think.

BS got hit with 14" last night. heavy wet snow. good base material!

gotta study so i can ride on sunday. sahweeet!

took me about 20 minutes to get this picture to work! hope you like

this is the base of the Big Sky area. "the picnik tables"

in order for my camera to work i have to keep the batteries close to my body in my pocket so they're not to cold to operate my camera. outside of the camera too. kind of a pain, but it's and old one handed down to me from mom and pops. just keeping the camera in my pocket with the batteries in it doesn't quite work in cold weather. it's the cold that kills it. here's where i'm going with this.......

so i get my camera out to put the batteries in to take a shot and i am missing one of the batteries. must have fallen out of my pocket somewhere between my car and the lift. that's why i don't have any pics in this report. :-( i didn't want to spend $5 for only one battery either from buying a package of them at the mountain. not this college student.

so anyways, on with the report. riding was really good. trails held up good until the end of the day when lots of rocks started popping up. got a few runs in with freshies. about 20" of it. still hit logs and whatnot though. BS recieved about 3" overnight, so the first few runs along the long green rolling cruisers was almost like riding powder........not really though. really soft snow and could catch edges easily if you weren't careful. a few jumps developed throughout the day which is always fun for me. almost spun into one guy who had cut in front of me coming off of a little roller. spun a quick 3 right next to him. didn't clip him though. i got all sketched out and ate it anyways. ha ha. it was just some local ripper riding next to me, so i wasn't to concerned if i hit him or not. i saw him at the base and appologized for almost clipping him though. he said he was sorry for getting in my way. uh, ok. i told him i should've yelled out to warn him, but he said it was cool either way, and wish i had stuck it and not gotten sketched out. close one

another close confrontaction. what is it with people? so i'm in line making a group of 4 to get on the quad(me being single). it was just some locals. i knew one of them but not that well, and the others i didn't. they said they had 4, so i backed off. then they went to get on the chair and were only a group of 3. that's why i was making it 4 dummy. oh well. no biggie. locals! pffff. haha. so the next group comes up and they are 4 as well, so i stayed to the side. as they went by the guy closest to me clearly took his pole and stuck it down on my board as he went by and scraped my topsheet a bit. "oh, thanks guy". while on the lift his friends turn around and stare at me. i just lifted my head and stared straight back. i was hoping for some sh.t talk at the top when we got off, but nothing ended up happening. good thing the board i was riding is now my rock board.

if it were my brand new board i just bought  :x  :D ............. well, just glad that it wasn't.

so that was hamdogs halloween. back to school.

i'll try not to lose batteries for my camera on the next day out which will probably be some backcountry. we'll see though.
