So it was my fifth day out this season, and it was my fifth day of skiing powder. I dare say: That?s better than being kicked in the crotch.
A friend of mine, who drives a plow, spoke of copious volumes of snow Wednesday near the base of Peak 7. So on Thursday morning, I took the tip and exactly an hour to skin from the base to the top of the Colorado Chair. Time was tight, once again, as I had to go to work after skiing. Hence the pace and the decision to stop uphill travel and start downhill where I did.
Looking down into the following run (I don?t know the name), my mind labored for .0003 seconds before deciding upon it.
It was, of course, all untouched. About 8-10? new came from the previous day?s storm.
That?s better than bad. And so?s this:
And you guessed it; those are Winter tracks giving mine the dollar sign.
I took a quick little video that shows a few things, including snow quality. Take a peak; it?s short:

With Breck opening the very next day, it was extra sweet to play in that snow before it got trampled and/or restricted. This season has started well; much better than a sharp stick in the eye!
