After almost commiting a triple vehicular deerslaughter on the way up I arrived about 9:45 and missed hooking up with JimG,Dan D and AndyZee for the 9:30 meeting.
Conditions in the AM were a bit brisk with a -10F temp and -35 windchill but the phenomenal packed powder made up for it! Not much left for fresh snow from the couple inches they picked up overnight as the groomers made the most of it, packing it into a nice courdoroy. The snowmaking trails are in awsome shape with total coverage. Natural trails on the other hand are still pretyy dismal.
I bumped into Jim, Mr. Mouguls Himself Dan D http://www.learnmoguls.com/ and AndyZee,and thier significant others about noontime in the Peabody Lodge.
Wow! What a joy to ski with such skilled skiers and downright nice people. Everyone was skiing very well, including Jim's son who could keep up with ANY of us.
What a fun day making big fast turns down Cannon's groomers.

Joe, not a bump is an understatement! There wasn't even a pimple out there, anywhere. We know, we looked as hard as we could.

I've never seen a resort groomed as flat as Cannon was this past weekend.

But it was fun anyway. Great to meet you NHPH, as well as Dan and his wife and Andyzee and his wife. Looking forward to coming up again in March. I'm sure we'll have some snow by then (I hope anyway).

My son Peter says hello too...he had a blast.
