Woke up this morning, 6am, how much new? Looks like 8-10. Now stay at Hunter or go to Plattekill? Let?s hike first and test it out. Leave the condo at 7am with wife in tow. We head up Gun Hill Rd, my preferred morning hike route. Snow light and still falling. Decide to pull the trigger, Plattekill it is. Call my friend Chris, tell him 7: 30 at my place. Make it to mid station, snap in and ski down to our place. Jump into Chris?s Toureg. Nice car. Make it to Plattekill by 8:20. Wow. 12? and 4 other cars. Gladly hand the ticket booth my money. Chair number 3, no one here. 12 runs later, 12,100 vertical and freshies every run. My wife is hucking 10? cliffs making the other boys perform as well. I tell my companions that there is no way I can track down more powder, unless, we hike a little. Onto OZ, which does not fail to deliver the deepest turns of the day. Travel back to hunter where I am allowed 1 run. I make it good. Skiing the lift line on D chair. BTW, still snowing when we left. Life is good. The woods in the Catskills are ready
