Cold is Coming

WOW ... the Cold is coming hard. Monday forcasted steps for Stowe village:

6am: -1
9am: -2
12pm: -2
3pm: -4
6pm: -3

It's going to get colder as the day goes on. I'd imagine that the temps are going to be 5-10 degrees colder on the mtn as well too. Be careful and stay warm if you plan on doing any skiing Monday.
 
so we can expect some "cold smoke" from this storm coming in?

and don't say it......r@!n? no, not with those temps. i'm riding thursday.
hopefully sunday river will be different.

Oh well, at least we're doing better than the Pacific Northwest.

and the Northern Rockies. Alberta is getting nailed right now though i guess.
sweet. dumps miss us from the south, and from the north.
 
Right now it is snowing on Mt. Mansfield. TWC has "snow" forcasted through about 9AM tomorrow AM and the radar currently shows that there are definately some decent bands of snow moving through the region. Who knows what the total accumulation will be though, and I bet it will vary greatly from mtn to mtn.

My last day skiing till the new year (actually gonna be mid January because I'm going to Puerto Rico for a while) is going to be Tuesday, so the rain doesn't really concern me ;) I can say that the forcast will probably wobble quite a bit between now and Thursday, from rain to mix to snow to rain, etc. What actually is going to happen Wed - Thursday is probably anyboby's guess at this point.
