Yep, to the Mainstream Media the sun rises on skiing in Vermont and sets in Colorado. Canada might as well be Timbuktu to them.

I read these top 10 lists for resorts to avoid. These resorts become popular and therefore crowded. My enjoyment of skiing is inversely correlated with crowds. Smaller areas are better for me like the Yosemite Badger pass.

I totally agree with you! When a ski resort becomes popular it is not the best place to ski at the same time. I once visited a very popular ski resort and it was one of the worst ski resorts in my life. The fewer people the better
