For you glasses wearers — do you keep them on when you ski?

I've got both astigmatism and myopia, and it's a pretty strong prescription. When I ski with glasses on, the helmet presses on the temple arms and my head hurts on both sides. If I take them off, I can still see where I'm going and make out the general direction, but I can't see the snow right under my feet — feels sketchy.

I have prescription goggle inserts. They are great.
I have previously had ‘over the glasses’ goggles and they were not at all comfortable.

In warm weather I prefer to ski in prescription sun glasses but in cold weather I can’t as my eyes water badly.

I can still see where I'm going and the snow right under my feet without glasses. Just don't expect me to identify my ski companions at distance unless they are wearing distinctive clothing! That said, I have traditionally worn glasses instead of goggles much more often than most people, even on many of my cat/heli days. I will never wear goggles on a warmish day because I will fog them.

In my 70's I'm wearing the goggles a bit more often due to increased sensitivity to cold and/or flat light.

Liz wears contacts. I have a prescription mask for scuba diving.

If I ever needed to have prescription lenses worn for skiing this would be my answer.

While I wear glasses mostly in rain or at night for driving (I'm slightly nearsighted), my eyes are not all that bad as of today so I have never worn anything but normal goggles for skiing to this point.

Strong prescription in one eye starting by high school long ago. Use daily wear soft contacts for skiing, with goggles. Only correction for distance. Keep readers with me if I want to read something like a menu at lunch.

Have heard good things about goggles with prescription inserts from people who can't handle contacts at all.

I keep my specs in my breast pocket so I can see once I go inside a building. I haven't smashed them yet. Touch wood.
