i decided to check out what crotched has in store for this coming season of their rebirth of the mtn. it's about a half hour drive for me, so i was planning on checking it out for a day or a half day. it's not a challeging hill by any means, but they are suppossed to have a park. it will probably be nothing big, but they are adopting a program called 'Smart Style' that promotes the safety w/in terrain parks. 'Smart Style' is put on by Burton and the NSAA. it's about time something like this gets started, and it's being done at a very small hill. i don't think that any of the bigger hills have anything more than a sign at the top. is there 'park maintenance' at any hills? or 'park patrol'? i don't know if this program will have something of this sort, but it's a good idea none-the-less. here's a link that describes the program very briefly.
http://www.crotchedmountain.com/TerrainReport.html
