Don't do it ....just say NO ......go home, dammit ......don't do it. This is what the voice inside my head told me this morning as I trudged up to the ticket window. What I thought would have a route to the bottom turned out to be non-existent - I think that last week, my arse made a phone call demanding to have my head back  .

So, of course I bit to the tune of $35 like a dum-a$$. Oh well, the Ski Ambassadors there were very friendly and helpful as everyone is at Sugarbush and has been over the past few years. I ran into Wes and TOS in the base lodge.

Turns out that 2-3" fell there on Saturday morning ...... when I went to Jay.

Anyway, conditions were groomed manmade for the most part except Exterminator and F.I.S. Conditions held up surprisingly well during the day. Exterminator was a little nicer. I grabbed lunch at the cozy upper lodge (one at the base of the summit lift) and shelled out $10.01 which I ain't used top given my Patroller discount at MRG. But, I did get 2 foot long dogs and a Powerade and they had a 15" or so TV out playing ski moof-fees which I thought was pretty cool - a non chi-chi restaurant that added to my experience! I also overheard people saying that the lobster bisque was actually pretty good.

Like I said, conditions held up pretty nicely with Elbow making for some nice blue cruising (over 20 years, I was emphatically told the Elbow-to-Cruiser was THE best blue cruiser in the East) where I concentrated on my technique/clinicing. Downloaded on the quad to the base at the end of the day.

Oh well, I guess the $35 spent was OK after all.

Compare to the 2 reports from Jay the day before ...

If you must ski now, stick to those areas that do the most competent job of making snow.

I may be taking my own advice soon at Big Bear.

I hear second hand that Tremblant and Ste-Anne are doing pretty good for the weather we've been having. Yeck, I also went skiing locally (also heard surprising news about the 3 trails open) at Fortune on Sunday with my daughter, however she started not feeling well Saturday evening.
