Got there 9:30 with light snow falling. Took Gondola up, no line, maybe 2 min wait. Skied Pine Knot down to Straightbrook lift. Nothing but ice. From Straightbrook lift skied Hawkeye, guns blowing on left side, ice in the middle, right side skiable but nothing to right home about. That 5" they had from thurs had pretty much disappeared. So the poaching started. Lower Steilhang which didn't appeared to have been open all year was good for about 3 runs. There was about 5" on top of the ice. As long as stayed light with your turns it was not bad. But 3 runs wipe out that narrow top section. It was sheer ice after that. At 11:30 light snow still continued. Went back up straightbrook lift and ventured over to Chatiemac glades. Not enough snow in there yet, need another 12". Too much dead fall still showing. Skied twister glade in for lunch. That glade was not as bad due to the fact that there is not much pitch in there. Still have to be careful in there. Light snow continued thru lunch. Headed back to top and hit Chatiemac( closed) for a few and by far those were the best runs of the day. Finished up with the twister glades and the 4" inches that had fallen thru the day made it pretty good. All in all they need another 12" in the woods.
