Had a very nice trip to Holimont on Friday. It was a bit more crowded than I expect at Holimont but someone said it was a local holiday for the kids. Oh, when I say crowded- there was a 3 minute line to get on the main lift at opening. After that- ski up and ski on.
The conditions were excellent. There was 1-2 feet in the woods and complete coverage everywhere else. My son boarded all the glades- they were a bit bumped up but plenty of snow. Thru about 2PM there was mostly packed powder on all trails. A couple of them started to show some ice later in the afternoon. We skiied everything- left side to right and back again. Holimont has good terrain with many fairly steep trails. Always enjoyable and a good alternative to Holiday Valley if you ski that area.
The Lake Erie snowbelt comes thru again!
