Back to Hunter for my 2nd day on snow...the reports from the mountaintop were that conditions were fantastic even though they hadn't blown a flake since 11/10. Boy, no lies there. It amazes me the amount of snow that Hunter can pour out in a few days! H>B>K was in great condition with some nice bump lines here and there and covered wall to wall with at least 2' and probably 3 1/2' of snow in spots. Not a rock to be found either. Great day!

Spent the morning getting my new boots fitted, so my son David and I didn't get out until 11am, but we made it to 4pm and got in another 24,000' vertical day. No aches and pains this time around either. Sweet!

I'll be skiing this coming Fri, Sat, Sun if anyone decides they might be in the area. Well worth it considering that Hunter looks like it has as much snow as any other resort. Let's ski!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be in the area. I have a free lift tic to use at Windham, so that is where we hope to go, though it is possible we may end up at Hunter. Will it be killington-crowded there after Thxgiving?

Friday after T-giving is usually the best time to go; Saturday can get pretty crowded and many are out for their first day of the season, so you can read between the lines there. Sunday is usually good, especially after 11am or so because alot of people leave early in an attempt to beat the holiday traffic home.

The weather and relative lack of open terrain will probably keep some of the crowd home, but what I've described above is usually the pattern. If you think you're going to be at Hunter, it would be great to hook up for a few runs 8) .
