Seems typical for Sept really, especially given that East is soaking yet again and West is having mostly summer like temps....

Now if it's still this slow by the end of October....
 
Not quite as dead as a few weeks ago. Labor Day is traditionally about the farthest date removed from skiing for me, and often the time of SoCal's most severe heat.
 
EMSC nailed it. Typical late-summer doldrums around here. It's already starting to pick up as it does seasonally every year.
 
I'm trying to replace the crabgrass in my front lawn with real grass. Watching grass grow is about the same amount of stimulation as late-September skiing-oriented message boards.

I'm not particularly excited about the start of ski season this year. I have a flight to Crocker-land the last weekend in October, my sister is visiting from Vancouver the 1st weekend of November, and I'm in the State of His Editorship's Ski Exile the 2nd weekend of November. I'm going to completely miss 'white ribbon of death' season this year.
