Luckily I made it up to the mountain around 9 the crowds really got out of control at the Jet at 11:15, called it quits, singles line was winding up he hill and the utility lot was packed. There was a bit more snow than I expected. Headed out past Timbuktu on all 5 of .y runs. Fresh tracks each time, about 6'' of fresh snow on top of a bit better of a base than i expected. The new snow on top softened up the bumps underneath. On my last run, things were so good I decided to ski all the way to the dip; totally untracked the whole way down, even looking back up the hill at the bottom, there was maybe 3 sets of tracks coming down. After my walk back to the Jet from the dip, i crested the hill on the walkway and saw the lines, turned around and headed back to the car, didn't feel like dealing with the crowds solo. Overall much better than expected, hopefully Powderfeaks forecasts will hold up and we will not et the mixed up here. Back at it tomorrow, get there early and beat the crowds.

Great. Crowds that big on Friday does not bode well for Saturday. I'll toss my AT gear in the car for when the singles line on the Jet starts heading up hill.
