Got to Jay this AM around 9 to find 1" of new snow. The flyer, jet, metro, t-bar were running and the quad seemed open later on. Maybe about 10 runs open and not too bad of a crowd seeing as it's the holiday's.

Took the flyer up (cold !!!) and did the snake around back to stateside. hard groomed run with some loose snow on it considering the traffic. Some fun snowdrifts on the side every now and then (6" deep max) but nothing to write FT about.

Jet back up - under the rope and down back towards stateside. Not much better but still fun enough.

T-bar back over to flyer. Hiked from the top of the flyer to the summit. The run up was groomed perfectly - looks like it was prepared if they were able to open the tram. We walked up onto the ridge to have a peek down. Good 6" thick compressed snow layer over the top of the whole mountain. Hard to even kick a boot into. We took the vermonter back down which had some fun non-groomed sides (4"-8" fluffy pow on hard thin base). Best run on the day.

Overall it was fun -- not what were looking for with the forecasts but what can you do. Not a pow day - but get those legs ready for when it comes ! Jay neeeeeds snow. It's painful to see even the lower runs closed with drainage ditches visible across them (under the flyer).

i was there yesterday. off the jet and bonnie quads was ok. flyer was pretty much amazing (given what i was expecting upon waking to no snow in the valley that morning). we poached every run from the start. off the flyer was especially great.

wedelmeister, Ullr's dream, poma line, beaver pond, and beyond beaver pond were AMAZING given how crappy the year has been. easily 8" over there (upslope was favoring the west side of the mountain by FAR- you could see the rime on the freezer's towers was pointing west-northwest- right toward the lake), probably a foot by the trees over there. wind probably blew some stuff in- great times.

BBP was easily a foot up top- RARELY hitting bottom. we had first tracks on beyond beaver pond- at 2 pm! dropped some 7ft ledges to soft pillow landings... 2nd tracks in beaver pond proper one run earlier. truly great skiing given the circumstances this year.

yes, we got core shots down below, but managed to find better exits with more snow as the day went on.
