Days 1 & 2 of our week long trip.

Saturday 3/1 was really warm in Summit County, about 55 F. The temps really dropped overnight and started to snow. The wind chills were down near 0 F. So there was a lot of frozen stuff under about an inch of snow in the morning of 3/2. Snowed all day for about 4-6" during the day. The south facing trails were the worst as they really warmed up the day before and froze overnight. It was rough, even for us midwest skiers used to a lot of ice. We stayed on Dercum for most of the day to warmup, Irishman, Frenchman and others all skied nicely. Mozart was the worst run of the day, ice all the way down. Regardless, it was better than any day you could have in Michigan.

3/3 was bluebird all day. Temps started out at about 10F and warmed up to around 30F. The higher temps helped warm up some of the ice. The windows was a little crusty. Most runs off of the Outback today. The south facing stuff was still a little icy underneath, but skiers right of the outback was very soft with some fresh snow still to be found from the day before.

Calling for snow the next two days, but just a few inches. Will get in a visit or two to Abasin in the next few days and post when i have time.
