Got some turns in at the big K on 1/19. For a variety of reasons, this was my first day in VT this year. The conditions lived up to the hype in a major way.

It was party sunny, and about 5 degrees with very little wind in the morning. I think the temparature scared a few people off, because it was wide open all day at all lifts, except the gondolas.

I skied mostly Bear and Skye. Great cruising on Bear Claw, Dream Maker, Bear Trap, and Skyeburst.

I was told that they have been blowing on Superstar almost every day - it shows.

Needles Eye and Cruise Control got a little wind-scoured by the afternoon. Still plenty of snow on the sides though.

Top of Ovation was similarly scratchy...bottom was fantastic.

I did not hit much of the big stuff....still trying to get my legs underneath me. So, while I did not hit Devil's Fiddle, it looks like it has very good coverage (could use a good dose of fresh though) for mid-January. Vertigo looked great, I was told they were blowing on that as well.

Overall, while we could use some fresh, K is in fanatastic shape and is holding up great through this small dry period.
