wow perfect 10 of a weekend. can't argue with bluebird days, mid 40 degree temps & hero snow. other than a 2' dump, doesn't get any sweeter than this. early most trails were groomed flat & fast with ovation in particularly in great shape. for us highlights both days were upper dreamaker, grizzly, downdraft and the fiddle. fiddle softened early and was cream in the afternoons. bump lines are still ridiculous. lines on downdraft were also huge but more consistent. conclusion also excellent. wildfire had good bump lines as well, though they could have blown a bit more snow on it as it has a couple of thin sections. highline was also good as it softened early. vertigo was flat and by sunday rocks were starting to poke through on the headwall. didn't think it was a great weekend for nats, all of which desperately need snow. upper needles & west glade were ok. escapade was actually reserved on saturday. a bit firm when we hit it was probably why. never ventured north of conclusion so we didn't hit north star or vagabond-didn't think we missed anything there. we did a trees run on bear saturday and were surprised by the coverage though it was a bit stiff early. breakaway was surprisingly excellent on very soft snow. the jug also was skiable but the handle is totally gone. we demoed skis on sunday so we stayed off the nats and trees but the day was pretty much a carbon copy. fabulous weekend got me california dreaming ...
