just figured i'd add my weekend to the other k report filed.

overall both days were very good though both got off slow starts. on saturday, the ncp stopped around 8. the day took a while to transition from the killington cloud to full sunshine by about 1 o'clock. early the groomers (supe & skye/bitter) quickly turned into soup causing us to seek out dirty snow. found it on runs like skye hawk & lower lark which were excellent. took a misguided run on upper bitter which was mostly walking & grass skiing 'til the headwall. in the canyon, east fall was absolutely perfect corn with sweet bumps top-to-bottom. no one was skiing it because you had to hike out pretty much the entire runout. nevertheless still hit it a couple times (the k1 was running). double dip looked to have a couple breaks but i heard it too was sweet. cascade & downdraft looked good to mid-station but lower on each were pretty much done. great northern was open & the glades opened late due to technical probs. by early afternoon superstar was incredible with great lines. did i mention the ribbon on ovation-pretty sweet.

sunday started out with temps in the 20's. the groomers were frozen early, quickly turning into chunky crud on a firm base. rime was better. east glade & mouse trap were ungroomed & not fun early. anything ungroomed was pretty much unskiable. essentially we punched the clock in the morning. in the afternoon first runs to get good were again skye hawk & lower skye lark. seeking more dirty snow, we hit both panic/needles & dreamaker. both were very extremely sweet corn though dreamaker required a lot of walking to get out. superstar didn't really get good until the maybe 2 o'clock and didn't get as good as saturday. closed it with an fantastic run on outer limits using the suburu outback shuttle. had to walk down the upper 1/4 or so but it was worth it. the mogul challenge run was still intact and it was pure cream.

next weekend looks to be pretty much supe, the hawk & skye/bitter. lower lark was starting to develop a break. depending on the weather, supe headwall might also break by as early as next sunday. rime & east fall could hold up for another week but the k1 was done for the season after today so hiking will be required. heading back up this coming weekend & the weekend of the 15th. normally would close it out on memorial weekend but with 5 more weeknds to go, it's doubtful.
