Killington 5/18/86 plus - pics

Hi there!!! I finally had time to scan a few old pics again. This post obtains some pre-Superstar era pics. These pictures were taken on Sunday May 18, 1986. For those not aware, I also posted some pictures from May 1984 where you can get a feel of how late season skiing was in the pre-Superstar days. We took less pictures this time (it was Martin's camera) and more pictures of us. \image{k0} That spring, only Upper Downdraft and Lower Cascade were open. \image{k1} Walking toward the headwall. \image{k2} Great picture from the top of the Gondola terminal of Cascade (no snow) and Downdraft (snow). A montage can be done with the previous pic. \image{k3} Martin in shorts on the Headwall on Upper Downdraft. \image{k4} Me in jeans, again. Just after the pitch. \image{k5} Jean-Pierre after the crossover. \image{k6} Martin between the crossover and the midstation. \image{k7} Downloading via the chairlift to the bottom. You need to Download from the peak, not the midstation. \image{k8} The last part of Downdraft seen from the chairlift. *** May 17 & 18, 1987 *** Same weekend one year later (Victoria Day weekend). That year Martin and me stayed overnight in Rutland. The pictures were taken on Monday May 18. \image{k10} Killington Peak from the Access Road. This might not be visible on the scan pic, but smoke is rising from where the new Superstar was going to be. The summer of major changes was coming up. \image{k11} Colder day than a year ago. Martin on Upper Downdraft near the headwall. A quiet day on this Monday. \image{k12} Me on Lower Cascade (passed the midstation). There is a pictures from the previous day with full of people. **** November 16, 1987 **** Killington's improvements? lol...... nice pics Patrick hahaha I don't understand why they don't appear.... normally they should, cause the format formula looks to be OK I really don't understand why it doesn't works !

Good !! it works now ! Wow, super nice pics, thanx a lot for sharing them with us !!!!! I had never seen some pics before the big changes of summer 1987. Old Superstar looked interesting ! Again, thanks a lot !
