I really didn't think I'd be able to go but a buddy and his son literally swalked in my door to get me outta bed and drag me out (ok ok I went willingly).

Very similar to the last couple of openings. K1 gondola and Glades triple open. They've done a good job with the top-to-bottom and at most points there are a choice of two trails or sections thereof. Beautiful day as some natural snow showers (only a trace of accumulation) gave way to sun. The only downside was the snowguns blasting every step of the way, frosting eyewear and making it difficult to see (and hear!) other skiers. Surfaces were excellent packed powder everywhere with some nice bump lines here and there (some troughs got a little scraped). Kudos to the snowmakers, who have *always* done an excellent job (contrary to Kmart PR's occasional retroactive ridicule of their own early upper-slope openings).

There were a fair # of people there, but the on-slope density wasn't bad and, tho it was mid-day, I never waited in a liftline and managed to park pretty close. The weekend, of course, could be a different story. Anyway, nice to be back out!

Oh man, I thought you weren't going!?!
Well, it would have been hard for me to stretch that "doctors appointment" yesterday afternoon into a half-day at Kmart anyway. Glad you made it!
