I went to La Réserve yesterday, for a short spring Hike.

The snow was enough hard, due to the fact we skied down passed 5h PM (school course in the morning)

But at least, it was some real snow, with still enough natural snow to ski some tougher spots.

Nothing comparable with april 25 last year, where it was snowing on top of a 4" of snow everywhere + 12" of windblown powder on the side of the LG canyon.

They made quite less snow this year in the LG canyon as they now make snow in another trail on the upper mountain.

Despite of that, with a bit of chance and a cold spring, I could be able to ski the LG canyon up to laaaaaaaate may or may be even june... with a bit of chance ! If not, at least mid-may !

Here is the pic for all the best pics of the day

Nice ski + scenery shots

With a full blue sky, it was a super good time to take some classic pics (but unfortunately I miss time to upload them all on FTO so I put the zoneski link)

Here is at least few ones that don't need to be retouched.

The View up top into Panorama

One of the nice views from the summit

and the Loup-Garou, this year

And last year as a comparison (april 25) Quite more snow !

Almost all the trails with snowmaking were still entirely skiable, but becoming quite thin in places. The skiing will be quite limited in may, but next weekend, it should still be possible to manage a whole mountain run without removing skis, passing by Panorama/Loup-Garou/Pente-Douce/Croque-Mitaine.

Some pitches were even skiable, just like the Middle Pirouette that I took before skiing the moguls of the lower part.

So it was a nice trip and I'm eager to go back, after my early may big test.
