Ok, I admit since we don't have the canyon anymore, the quality dropped for laaaaate turns into spring at La Réserve, but the Croque-Mitaine (beginner trail) still had a 400' long snowpatch today, so I enjoyed a few nice turns (Ok I admit I hiked it 10 times ! lol)

I also tried to ski the Chute Libre, but there is too many breaks, even though there is still 8' high of snow at the big airs of last winter.

A few pics (yes, you can consider me as SICK)

For june turns, it will be the sides of the pipe of Mt Avila for me, I think...

sure do! i am all about hiking for patches, but i don't think i'd ever get desperate enough to hike for 400' verts of beginner terrain    you are truly dedicated frank, keep um' turning!

In fact, the trip was also to see what was left at Tremblant, because the best way to see Tremblant North is to pass with the new scenic road between St-Donat and Tremblant, where from 2000' of elevation, we can see the whole North Side of Tremblant, which is really wonderful !

There is enough snow left on the snowpark on the top of the mountain, but it was tough to take a pic from the road, because I was not ready to take the pic while driving...

But I got one of the very top part of the north side. (see attachment)

For MSS and Avila, there will be something left in june, so just to say we skied up to there, we should ski it next weekend... (a couple pics of there too)

Skiing this time of year brings on a whole new hazard- ?Black fly?s ?as out in the woods today they were attacking with vengeance.

LOL !

true, but last friday, I was lucky, it was really calm for flies !

Even in Montreal, there is only a few flies, even on the side of the St-Lawrence river... really weird for this time of the year. I guess it's the cold and rainy spring...
