I just want to correct a recent news release from the Sunday River Ski Area claiming to have the only lift serviced mountain biking in Maine. As of last fall the Camden Snow Bowl began to offer lift serviced mountain biking. This year we plan to have more days when the chairlift will be running for hikers and mountain bikers. The following dates are currently on our schedule: July 3, Aug 16, Sep 20, Oct 4, Oct 11, Oct 18, Oct 25. The local chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association is very busy improving and adding to the trail system on Ragged Mountain, where the Camden Snow Bowl is located. For more information call 207-236-3438 or send a note to info@CamdenSnowBowl.com.

I was walking around the toboggan track at the CSB about a year ago and noticed above the top of the start that they were doing what looked like some MTB trail and park work. There were some young bikers and adults around working and playing.

In case you've never been, the CSB hosts the Tobaggon National Championships every winter, It's a total hoot! Here is a pic of the chute which dumps you out on the lake.

good info.

the marketing chick from boyne came in to my store today to give out info and free lift tickets for the sunday river (newly improved) lift served mtb park. in big bold print on the press release was stated: the only lift served mountain biking in maine. i made sure she knew of camden snowbowls lift served mtb and she is probably (hopefully) changing the statement. thanx FTO, she thanx you too.
