After Friday's deluge, Saturday began with bullet proof conditions. So bad, in fact, that the Ski Patrol closed some of the steeper runs.
As the day progressed, warmer air and sun softened the slopes to spring-like corn snow conditions. The last runs of the day were wonderful, though coverage was getting very thin on many trails.
Didn't ski on Sunday. Woke to gail force winds and driving rain. So much for the reports on NECN that it would change over to snow in the morning and yield 10-12 inches. The temps were in the low to mid forties at the base. (Is it me, or do those guys routinely over-estimate snowfalls?)
Better to clean the condo and head back early for the Superbowl commercials.
