thurs- overcast all day- misty all morning- posted 38 at the base and 32 at the top- off north p is , w boss ( upper and lower ) flume ( upper and lower ) lower angel st, and basin st.... west side all open... snowboarder race in town so coolidge was shut.. upper rumrunner rent out to new hampton all day on thurs.... no trees, no bumps- everything flat ...
fri_ spoke to the gm on thurs night and confirmed that bumps are going in on l rumrunner and flume and maybe sunset... whenever they can get above their 12 inch base :roll: ... he is a good guy and we believe him.. loon received a bad amount of rain thurs night.. they took a vicious beating... brownspots everywhere on lower mtn blues.. upper flume was shut down.... lots of spots shows how thin their base is... speed boarders back as they are all weekend... upper rum was open till noon when new hampton took over... is started to snow heavily about 10 and went till about 12.. they only got about 2 .... the snow surface changed every run... certain spots were really bad.. sunset is a mess.. a total sheet of ice... they are doing the best they can , i think... if it was spring, one warm day would shut em down to about 3 or 4 trails i would guess.. that's how thin the base is..... the rain is killing them... pipe is actually in good shape.. about 15 foot walls now and rock hard ice walls.. park is about 1/2 open with some booters of little consequence....picked rock park is still up with 5 or 6 rails.... west side has 2 or 3 rails and an easy kicker... it's gonna be an early ending if it doesn't change in the next 2 weeks. i would think they will have to have the guns going during the day this weekend... new hampton terrism factor was a low again for both as they were caged in on upper rum :roll: .leaving friday night about 9pm on 193 south say i93 north looking like the "field of dreams " ending scene with all the headlights coming in for the big weekend...god bless em , they are gonna be disappointed :roll: .. back on tues wed and thurs for 3
