tuesday: the surfaces have improved a lot over last week's hot rolled steel....they blew a lot of snow and it obviously helped out.. they finally opened up the top part of flume and it skied pretty nice considering as bob r put it, "loon is what it is ".. the bottom of flume is a totally diferent story and they continue to let it just naturally bump up... total garbage ... massive spaced out ice bumps...why they don't just smash it all and built a couple of lanes of seeded bumps i just don't know :roll: :twisted:
the south peak was closed for " rountine lift maintainence " :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:
that is a new one for sure...
they have the lower trees lines scaler and bunyon open.. they skied ok and have just enough snow in em to have em open.... just about everywhere else is decent packed powder groomed flat.. occasional slick spots , but not too many....it was not a bad day weather wise ,,,, about 20 or so with a little wind and lots of blue sky till about 2... it clouded over and was spitting snow by 3...
still can't pull the trigger for anywhere else yet as i just don't think it is worth it, unless of course someone could post accurate info on any place that has good bumps with decent even turns...i think im going out mary jane in two weeks for a mogul camp with chuck martin and mogul logic ...im about to crack with this jan new england nonsense :wink:
