thurs: 30f base 25f summit. no snow guns going :?:  ... 1 trail off the Gondy.. picked rock t to b. ...it was groomed flat with all machine made granular and long spots of hardpack and occasional ice....it's about a 12 to 15 inch base on the trail... windy in the am.. died down pm...
fri: woke up to 2 on the ground... snowed till about 2pm.. i would say they picked up another 2 for a total of 4... made it a different surface ( easier for novices )... same route. little colder about 25 at base and around 20 at summit... less wind.. they fired up guns ,b ut not on the skiable line , which was good... they r blowin hard at grand junction and a blue off of that to the left to bleed it off of picked... also blowing on cross cut from the upper picked rock cross over, to get the double up , i would guess... i would guess they may have a few more routes opened up by sunday's ski day, monday for sure
crowds on both days were fine in the am and mildly annoying in the am after 1:30... 2 large crews of fast skiers in tight suits from new hampton and holderness showed up and as usual began terrorizing the place  ...
bottom line: ... it is not recreational skiing... average person i would think is gonna get bored after a few hours.. but it was great for practicing, if that is your thing... day one all icy and day 2 mounds of powder on top of wicked hardpack, so you get exposed if you are not balanced.. we loved it!!!! ( at least in the am   ..
